My favorite Bay Area band! Point of View writes amazing songs, making them catchy and complex all at the same time. All the tracks were recorded at Nu-Tone Recording. The drums are all baked through Undertone Audio MPEQ. Possibly for worse since I was very heavy-handed with processing and that piece of gear is a very powerful. It was a new toy at the time and I was excited to try them out. Hope you enjoy mixing it!
This was a new single for the band that we did in addition to re-mixing their old EP. This project was very unique because we made it completely remote during shelter in place. The drums were recorded in a garage separate from cymbals, the guitars are all amp sims, and the percussion and synths were added at my home studio. I got raw files from the band and I really mangled it something unique. We wanted to make the listening experience really eventful so we made different elements occur for every new part of the song. Thanks to the band for letting me share and I hope these help spark some creativity and new ideas.
This is a beautiful record I got to make with my friend’s Jeff and Ross. It’s all instrumental with big drums and lots of atmospheric guitars.
